Funzi lagoon is amazing and trips are calm and relaxing. In the river you can spot the crocodiles. It is important to note that this tour is not a snorkeling trip, because the waters around Funzi are not clear due to the mangrove forest around the area.

Start

Pick up from Diani beach at 7.30am and head out to Bodo via Shirazi village. The drive is about 40min to Bodo, a boat will waiting to take you amazing adventure.

 

• The day begins with a trip up the Ramisi river in motorized canoe, the river abounds with exceptional birdlife and, who knows, even the occasional crocodile.

• A stop on the sandbank ensures that you’re at the most beautiful spot on the coast for swimming and making the most of this little piece of paradise (don’t forget your sunscreen, towel and beach sandals).

• After a visit to the village on Funzi island for those who so desire, we head for the Funzi Restaurant. Sample our seafood specialties: crab, grilled fish, coconut rice, and non-seafood menus we offer chicken or beef. Vegetarian dishes are also catered for on request.

• After a relaxing break, for as long as you choose, return to the mainland by boat.

• Transfer back to your hotel.
